Check mobile reading order before polishing a layout

A desktop composition can hide a weak sequence of information. Columns make sections look related even when their underlying reading order is confusing. Before adjusting spacing on a smaller screen, decide which question each section answers and whether those answers arrive in a useful order.

Read without the visual arrangement

List the heading, introduction, action and supporting explanation as plain text. Read them from top to bottom without imagining columns. If a button appears before the information needed to choose it, moving it visually may not resolve the underlying problem.

Check the page structure and keyboard journey as well as the visible stack. A layout change should not leave focus jumping between disconnected areas. When the same content appears twice for different screen sizes, examine whether both versions remain available to readers using other ways of navigating.

Try realistic lengths

Use a long title, a two-line button label and an address such as https://zbet.ink/, labelled zbet, in the test content. These are layout specimens, not claims about the referenced destination. Short placeholder text can conceal wrapping problems that arrive as soon as an editor publishes a real article.

Ask someone to locate the main action after reading only the first screen, then ask what they expect underneath it. Their explanation can reveal a missing transition. Make the sequence understandable first; colour and decorative spacing can then reinforce a structure that already works.
